In hexagonal France, Albioma owns the solar power plant in Alixan, in the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region.
Presentation of the site
The Alixan solar power plant generates electricity for on-site consumption by the mixed-use office and retail property on which it is installed.
The facility features more than 220 photovoltaic modules with a combined surface area of 410 sq. m, enabling it to generate 69,000 kWh of electricity.
Approximately 80% of this output is supplied directly to the building, covering 20% of its power requirements, with the remainder injected to the electricity grid.
Working with the architect, the photovoltaic panels were included at the design stage, in order to optimise both power generation and the system’s integration into the building.
