In July 2026, Albioma expanded into the United States with the acquisition of a wood pellet production facility in Georgia

Albioma has announced the acquisition of an 80% stake in Archer Forest Products, a wood pellet production facility located in the state of Georgia, USA, from Fram Renewable Fuels, a recognised pioneer in the sector, which will retain a 20% minority interest.

Archer’s facility has an annual production capacity of approximately 180,000 tonnes of wood pellets and employs 39 people on site. Located close to the Port of Brunswick, it benefits from logistics infrastructure well suited to exporting wood pellets to Albioma’s assets, particularly those in the French West Indies. The plant processes wood residues sourced from the local forestry industry. The wood pellets produced by Archer are SBP-certified, a certification recognised across Europe as demonstrating compliance with biomass sustainability requirements.

The acquisition of Archer Forest Products builds on Albioma’s upstream integration strategy. Like the acquisitions previously completed in Canada and Australia, this transaction helps diversify the Group’s sourcing regions and further strengthens the resilience of its supply chain.

It also marks Albioma’s entry into a new strategic market, the United States, at the heart of a major forestry region with a well-established and sustainable biomass industry. The acquisition gives the Group its first industrial presence in the United States.
